Second edition is a white CD-R in a clear vinyl protective sleeve with a folded inner sleeve printed on white card stock. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Six dollars.

Happy Birthday, S.K. (2014)

Overwhelming & Collective Murder
Possibly the most brutal Big Hole disc so far. Massive, layered, unrelenting HNW, even more so than usual. One track, approx. 20 minutes. SECOND EDITION also available with a folded inner sleeve printed on white card stock. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Four dollars.

You Will Always Be Shit
An uncompromising, filthy, monstrously bleak HNW experience. Multiple shortwave radios do battle with scraped metal and vicious EQ manipulation to create this epic paean to misery, misanthropy and low self-worth. Two tracks, approx. 55 minutes. Second edition now available. Second edition is a white CD-R in a clear vinyl protective sleeve with a folded inner sleeve printed on white card stock. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Six dollars.

Gertie
The first Big Hole release to feature (somewhat) proper artwork and packaging! A reaction to the terrible deeds of one of the 20th century's most evil women. One track, approx. 21 minutes. First edition is a 3" CD-R in a clear vinyl protective sleeve with a folded inner sleeve printed on white card stock. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Four dollars.

Winter Skin
A slowly evolving, bleak and lengthy HNW trip through the dark heart of winter. One track, approx. 69 minutes. First edition is a white CD-R in a clear vinyl protective sleeve with a folded inner sleeve printed on white card stock. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Six dollars.

Numb Hole (box set)

 I Can't Breathe
A visceral reaction to our modern times (and in particular, the senseless death of Eric Garner). One track, approx. 20 minutes. First edition is a 3" CD-R in a clear vinyl protective sleeve with a folded inner sleeve printed on white card stock. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Four dollars.

The Pearl Of My Renaissance

1000 Member HNW Group Compilation
I contributed a track titled "I Don't Want To Save The World" to this massive online compilation organized by Liam McGeorge of the label Tera-AntiQu. All 91 tracks are free to download or stream at this page.

Dread
A tense exercise in long-form, borderline-unchanging HNW. First edition is a white CD-R in a clear vinyl protective sleeve with a folded inner sleeve printed on white card stock. One track, approx. 40 minutes. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Six dollars.

Kerosene
Tightly-wound, controlled, long-form HNW inspired by a section of the short story Revenge of the Lawn by Richard Brautigan, one of my very favorite authors. One track, approx. 71 minutes. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Six dollars.

Power Structure
Lives up to its name. Annihilating, subtly shifting walls with jarring, shrill intrusions. Two tracks, approx. 56 minutes. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Six dollars.

Static Worshipper Vol. 1
I contributed a track titled "Contact High" to this online HNW compilation from the MindBlasting net label. The whole twenty-five track compilation can be downloaded for free at this page.

Candy Man/Corll
This is a split I did with Richard Ramirez's House of the Black Death project. Both tracks are meditations on the terrible crimes of the Houston Mass Murderer, Dean Corll. Heavy, suffocating, bleak walls. Available on cassette in a very limited edition of 13 copies on Room 2A.

Painted / Wall
Brand new 2 cd-r set on Altar of Waste! From the label: "Incredibly intriguing experimental/HNW release from Big Hole, blurring the demarcations between visual and auditory art. "Painted / Wall" is a double album recording utilizing Big Hole's field recordings of painter Chris Justice as he created a large canvas piece; those field recordings were then used to create a dense, massive, crackling wall. The first disc is the unaltered live audio of the creation of the work as captured by Big Hole during the process, rife with all manner of obscure and interesting sounds adding up to a sort of "creation drone"; the second disc is the wall. Big Hole is one of my favorite recent HNW projects; the work is always massive and engulfing; the intellectual aspect of this recording just makes it all the better. A very interesting record from this project, with some beautiful, psychedelic art and sound. Packaged in a DVD case with Justice's finished piece serving as artwork. Released in a limited edition of 15 hand-numbered copies." Available now at the Altar of Waste webstore.

Contact High
My track from the Static Worshipper Vol. 1 compilation that came out earlier this year, presented on a 3" cd-r with an untitled bonus track from the same recording session that yielded "Contact High." Limited to 20 numbered copies. Since the track is available for free download, as is the whole compilation that contains it, this disc WILL NOT be offered for sale and WILL NOT be reissued. It will only be given away with purchases of 3 or more releases. Trades also accepted/encouraged.

Big Hole/Wet Drmr
This is a split between myself and Max Henderson's Wet Drmr (aka Wet Dreamer) project, one of my very favorite North Texas noise projects. My half is a single long track titled "Freezing Rain," which utilizes a field recording I made of the titular substance falling on my windshield as source material to create a crisp, crackling wall. Wet Drmr's half consists of two shorter tracks, "Genital Anesthesia" and "Bathtub." The former brings the high-frequency HN/PE ear-needling feedback manipulation and howling, distorted vocals, while the latter is a relatively lengthy excursion into corrupted wall texturing, monster bass tones, disintegrating vocals and all manner of aural pox and canker. This split is limited to 40 copies, 20 on cassette and 20 on cd-r. Both are $5. We split the supply up between us, so each of us only has 10 of each format. Act fast, this will surely not last long.

This Meager Effort
Dense, gloomy HNW themed around the Heaven's Gate cult and their 1997 mass suicide ahead of what they thought to be the coming apocalypse. Two tracks, approx. 65 minutes. Limited to 20 numbered copies. Six dollars.

Static Worshipper Vol. 2
I contributed a track titled "Please Forgive Me" to this online HNW compilation from the MindBlasting net label. You can download all 15 tracks for free at this page.

Sex & Death Electronics HNW Compilation
I contributed a track titled "Losing A Grasp On Something" to this digital HNW compilation from James Patrick's Sex & Death Electronics label. You can download all 29 tracks for free at this page.

Life Is Beautiful
A lengthy meditation on the beauty of life, in all of its light and darkness. Immense, busy, continuously shifting (however subtly) HNW. Downloads and limited edition physical cd-rs available from Required Rate Of Return Records.

An Open HNW Love Letter
A "just for fun" free download compilation featuring the first appearance of my Big Hug side project where I exclusively rework my favorite love songs into harsh noise/harsh noise walls. My track here, titled "My Hand In Yours (for Erica)," is a reworking of "Your Hand In Mine" by Explosions In The Sky dedicated to my wife, Erica. The original featured prominently in our wedding in November of 2014, and this reworking serves as a passionate, noisy tribute to our love. The entire 22 track compilation can be streamed and downloaded for free here.

Big Hole/See Through Buildings
This is a split between my Big Hole project and Ben Rehling's See Through Buildings project. It is a available in a limited edition of 20 copies on cd-r from Altar Of Waste. Click here to order it from the Alter Of Waste Online Store. From the label: A massive, crushing split release between two of the most interesting HNW projects currently in operation, Big Hole and See Through Buildings. AOW has worked with both artists prior (both have releases in the "Blue Velvet" series, and Big Hole has a double CD released through AOW, as well as an upcoming split with Dejection in the very near future), and when I was offered the chance to release the CD version of this split, I jumped at it. Those looking for intensity and volume in their WALL will not be disappointed by either project's contributions here, as the volume levels are near obscene: white-hot, city-leveling destructionism spread across 70 monolithic minutes. Both projects excel at minute textural changes within their walls, slowly mutating lakes of sound that expand and despond ever further outward, until total blackness is reached. This is the true harsh that should satisfy even the most jaded HNW ear; no respite and no remorse. Absolute annihilation.

Corll Revisited
A return to the sonic territory I first explored approximately a year ago on the split with House of the Black Death (Richard Ramirez). Once more, of primary concern are the crimes of Dean Corll, the Houston Mass Murderer who, along with two teen accomplices, tortured, sexually assaulted and murdered close to 30 young boys in the early 70s before being gunned down by Elmer Wayne Henley, one of the boys who assisted him in the murders. Over 90 minutes of intense, stagnant, agonzied wall-making concerning the crimes of Dean Corll, the Houston Mass Murderer. This is limited to 20 numbered copies. $7.

The First Of Many Deaths
Over 90 minutes of HNW inspired by a section of David Foster Wallace's unfinished novel The Pale King. Side A.'s wall is a sonic departure for me, in that it contains next to no bass frequencies. It is a full-on crackling static assault. Side B. brings the bass in a big way, underlying the high-end crackle and making for an immersive, heavy, deeply contemplative sonic brew. Limited to 20 numbered copies. $7.

2000 Member HNW Group Compilation
I contributed two tracks to the digital compilation. The first is titled "Tick," and consists of close to 20 minutes of intensely nervy HNW. The second, contributed under my moniker Big Hug, is a reworking of Bob Dylan's classic (and very long) love song, "Sad-Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands." Here, it is reworked in real time into a claustrophobic, monolithic slab of hazy HNW which I have titled "Where The Dead Angels Are." You can download all 84 tracks for free here.

Actually Love...
Just in time for Valentine's Day, Ben Rehling (of See Through Buildings) and I have released a split where we rework love songs into serious slabs of harsh noise. Under his side-project moniker A Transparent Heart, Ben unleashes the harsh treatment on songs from Frank Sinatra, Tesla, Genesis, Astrud Gilberto, and Ida, while I, under my side-project moniker Big Hug, turn in harsh reworkings of songs by Sebadoh, Kraftwerk, Julee Cruise, The Magnetic Fields and Former Friend. Available as a digital download only for now, and coming soon in a limited edition physical release with additional tracks from an extra-special French mystery guest. Until the physical release comes, all of mine and Ben's tracks are available for streaming and download here

Light Cloud, Dark Cloud
Recorded specifically for Julien Skrobek's Process netlabel, this release consists of an hour (two 30-minute tracks) of ambient noise wall dedicated to and inspired by the work of Mark Rothko, particularly his painting Light Cloud, Dark Cloud. This painting is on display at the Modern Art Museum of Ft. Worth here in Texas, and I have spent many hours over the years gazing at it. You can stream this release for free or download it (name your price) here

The Ebony Tower and Big Hole - Aum Shinrikyo
Recorded back in November of 2015, this is a collaboration between myself and Mitchell Rotunno concerning the actions of the Aum Shinrikyo cult, which perpetrated the sarin gas attacks on the Tokyo subway system back in 1995. Two discs of truly eviscerating, violent harsh noise wall. Limited to 15 copies. You can acquire this from the Altar of Waste webstore

I Am Sitting On A Wall
Inspired by the album "I Am Sitting In A Room" by Alvin Lucien, this digital compilation is the result of an original wall being sent to a participant, who then played the original wall back and recorded the playback from the other side of a room. The result was then sent to another participant for the same treatment, and that result sent to another participant, and so on and so forth. The result is a study in the degradation of sound via reproduction. I am honored to have been among those chosen to take part in this experiment. You can stream or download the entire thing for free here.

4-Way Split Box
A double-cassette split between myself, Naughty (Charlotte Duchene), Impulse Kill (Jason Wolpert) and The Ebony Tower (Mitchell Rotunno) released by the great Lost Light Records. Two cassettes inside of a jewelry box with 4 mini-posters (one for each artist), a patch and a sticker. Order/stream/download it here and support the label directly.

100: Celebrating 100 Releases with HNW
A massive digital HNW compilation in celebration of James Shearman's HNW Netlabel's 100th release. HNW handled the digital release of Terror Of Abrupt Entombment back in August of 2015, and I was honored to contribute a track to this massive compilation featuring some of the best wallers working today. Features contributions from The Ebony Tower, Urban Decay, She Walks Crooked, Cory Strand, Joli, Vomir, Martyr Of Sores, Sean E. Matzus, VVST, Misery Ritual, Phantom Cadaver, See Through Buildings, Sumbru, Naughty, Small Hours, Condo Horro and many, many. many more. My track is titled "Reality." You can listen to the whole thing for free here.

Crackling Armageddon
I contributed a track titled "High Dry Toast" to this digital compilation organized by James Shearman for his HNW Netlabel. Featuring work from Clive Henry, Dosis Letalis, Condo Horro, Urban Decay, A Raja's Mesh Men and many more, this compilation showcases various artist's approach to crackle-based HNW. The results are fascinating and immersive. You can stream or download it here.

Grief
Almost 10 hours of bleak, minimal noise wall. A sonic manifestation of the grief I will always carry with me. A single piece spanning and very slowly evolving across nine discs, this is both my longest and most deeply personal work to date. Each disc has its own case featuring beautiful black and white photography by Cory Strand. Released in a limited edition of 15 numbered copies by the incomparable Altar Of Waste Records. Read more about it and order a copy here.

Caterwauling
I contributed a track honoring my beloved feline companion to this cat love-themed HNW compilation on HNW Netlabel. Organized and curated by the great James Shearman (A Raja's Mesh Men), this compilation features cat-themed tracks from greats like Shadowpiercer, See Through Buildings, Dosis Letalis, S. Pharmakov, James Shearman and many more. My track is titled "Koshka" after my lovely calico ragamuffin companion of half a decade. You can listen to the entire compilation for free here

Thirteen Girls
This is a collaborative work with Mitchell Rotunno's The Ebony Tower project. Thirteen shorter wall tracks of epic intensity in tribute Nikita Brottman's wonderful book of the same name. Condensed blasts of anguish and grief. You can stream and download this from LSD Induced Nightmares.

Treat Yourself (To HNW) Compilation
This is a massive digital compilation on HNW Netlabel highlighting the soothing and meditative qualities inherent in HNW. Sometimes HNW doesn't need to be all about harshness, and this premise is explored over the course of 50 tracks. My track is titled "The Sun Is Long Gone Now," and was recorded upon coming home after a long, stressful day at work while looking out the window at the night sky. You can stream this entire massive compilation for free at HNW Netlabel.
